This will be our third sunny visit to the snowy slopes of Pila 2000, the high Alpine winter sports center overlooking the Aosta Valley in the Italian Alps.
We return there next April thanks to Carole of Pilaski Ltd. She has arranged the entire trip for us, with coach transfer from Milan airport, morning and afternoon tuition at the superb Pila Ski School run by Alex Zani, accommodation at the Hotel Etoile de Neige, with lunch each day on the ski slopes at La Maison de Jean restaurant.
The Kids2Go Pila group are aged from 12 to 17 and all were cancer patients at Southampton Hospital’s Piam Brown children’s oncology unit.
One young girl will experience this healing holiday thanks to the Maisie Norton Fund for Kids2Go, set up in Maisie’s Memory this autumn by CCT and her very many friends.
At the end of their stay, the kids will have progressed enough at ski school to compete in a sponsored slalom race. They will raise money for the Maisie Norton Fund to send other kids with cancer on an Alpine Healing Holiday in 2017.
